What is it about the No. 38 car? Its former driver and its current driver are both on the list this week. I think Skittles may have sabotaged the car. Either that or Robert Yates Racing is sliding into Morgan-McClure territory. I'm leaning toward the Skittles defense.

Elliott Sadler 5 ¿ I'd blame Erin Crocker for Sadler's 39th-place finish, but Sadler was pulling up the rear in 2006 long before he started working for Ray "Close Personal Relationship" Evernham. Plus I am not a total douchebag like Jeremy Mayfield.

David Gilliland 4 ¿ David's internal monologue when he decided to sign with RYR: "Well, I could take that Busch ride with Childress and make it to Cup in two or three years in a great car¿of course, since I am probably just a lucky fraud, I should go straight to Cup with Yates, cash all the checks I can and get spit out like Casey Atwood in 18 months. Yeah, that's the plan. Where do I sign Mr. Yates?"

Mark Martin 3 ¿ Mark has two goals in the next two races: 1) Qualify for the Chase, 2) Don't die.

Kurt Busch 2 4 All those experts kept saying Kurt Busch was going to make a run for the Chase in the last month of the season. Seems more like he got the runs, finishing 40th and 37th the last two weeks.

Scott Wimmer 1 ¿ Alas, we never got to read the thrilling insights of a marginal Nextel Cup driver this weekend. Wimmer's Bristol blog never updated past Wednesday. What a shame. I always wanted to know what it was like to finish 47 laps behind Carl Long.
