Today was the first press day for the New York International Auto Show and I got up early to check it out. There wasn't a ton of new, earth-shattering stuff announced, but that doesn't mean there wasn't plenty of eye candy on the floor. This pointy-but-sexy machine is Mazda's Furai (that means "sound of the wind" in Japanese) and its 450-hp engine runs on ethanol making it very green and extremely fast. It first debuted at the Detroit show, but seeing it in person is definitely impressive. Sadly, you'll never be able to buy, or even drive one so don't go trading in your '88 Accord just yet. And before everyone goes saying it in the comments: Yes, it looks like the Batmobile.
