Take a ride with Amy Walz and Cindy Johnson, the stars of Ea’s Need for Speed Underground. Better buckle up.
“Tawny Kitaen hit him with the shoe, and then I think he sued her-the pussy,” says the hairdresser, giggling maniacally. He’s referring to the infamous incident last year between pitcher Chuck Finley and his former wife, Tawny Kitaen. Actually, it was just a restraining order, but what do hairdressers know about tennis?
Considering that the lovelies he’s styling are Cindy Johnson and Amy Walz, stars of EA’s hot new property Need for Speed Underground, it makes sense that the conversation has turned toward women with more than just a hint of sass.
Underground puts you in the heart of custom-car street racing, as well as-lucky you-the company of Cindy and Amy. While Mr. Gigglefingers turns his attention back to the scissors, I’m free to talk games, fast cars and Whitesnake videos with the two beauties. And what makes it even better? Free ham sandwiches in the makeup trailer!
STUFF GAMER: Speak only the truth. Do either of you own a console? CINDY: I’ve got a PS2. I prefer fighting games like DOA and Tekken, but Mortal Kombat is my all-time favorite. Liu Kang rocks. I like the noises he makes. AMY: I’ve got a PS2 and Xbox, which I got three weeks ago. I’m psyched. I usually just play when friends come over. One of my guy friends likes fighting games. We get a little feisty with each other.
Well, color me surprised! Has a feisty fighting-game session ever led to make-up sex with your boyfriend? C: Nah-I just finish him off with a babality and make him do the dishes! A: I’ll tell you one thing, fighting games definitely get out some of your aggression toward one another. I would say it’s saved my relationship more than once.
What are your roles in Underground? C: My character, Samantha, helps people through the game. At the end they race me—I don’t know if I’m supposed to give that away! Someone else is going to do my voice but they needed my facial expressions, so I had to get into character. I’m really street. A: Melissa’s exactly like me, but a little amplified. Strong, sexy and tough as nails—a very speedy driver. She’s just supposed to be really fast and always challenging people to race. She drives a Nissan Skyline. I love it. I’m really partial to Nissans. They handle the curves really well and really hug the road.
