STUFF: You played a karaoke queen in Duets. Do you actually frequent these yakuza joints? KEEGAN: I had never been to karaoke in my life before I did that movie. When I got up [to sing] and looked out, I thought, Oh, my God, I have to sing in front of all these people. It was kind of terrifying, but it was really fun—and strangely empowering.
I’ve read that you study martial arts. For a while, I was doing something like UFC ultimate fighting.
So you could kick anybody’s ass, right? I could surprise a lot of people. You would never expect me to put you into a submission hold, but I could do that.
