The host of Spike TV’s Dangerous Curves takes us on the wildest ride of our lives. Or so we fantasized as we asked her these questions. By Laura Leu
STUFF: You moved to Las Vegas not too long ago. Do you have a gambling addiction yet? BRONTE: Not yet. I tried gambling once at the roulette table, and I started winning—but then I listened to the dealer. He was like, “You should do this, this and this.” I lost $900! I sat there until four in the morning. I ended up losing only $200. I work too hard for my money, so I prefer not to gamble.
How about one more gamble? I’ll bet you 10 bucks that you can’t describe your show without using the words car or race. OK. [Thinks] Dangerous Curves is a show that shows the behind-the-scenes [hesitates] action of the Champ Car World Series.
You said car! Ooh. I was so close! Jeez!
Let’s make it double or nothing. When it comes to sex, does slow ’n’ steady or fast ’n’ furious win the race? Definitely fast ’n’ furious. I can’t say any more, because my husband [racer Alex Tagliani] would not approve.
Do you two ever race to see who can orgasm first? No, we’re pretty even. We’re both winners!
You appear in the upcoming book Vintage Vegas Girls. I imagine it to be all 80-year-old women wearing visors and holding coin cups full of nickels. No, no, no. We’re in our twenties. It’s black-and-white photos of models wearing vintage clothing. The girls are all good-looking.
You have a funny accent. What are you, Canadian or something? No, I’m Australian.
Have you ever gotten wild in the outback? There are too many dangerous things—snakes and spiders and birds that bum-dive you.
