Taylor Townsend, Autumn Reeser’s character on The O.C., is the kind of girl you love to hate. Ambitious and overachieving, she is an unapologetic social climber. And she’s gorgeous, too. Last season she made her mark on the Harbor School, filling the void left by the expulsion and, later, death of Mischa Barton’s character, Marissa Cooper. For The O.C.’s fourth season, Autumn is ready to take center stage in this privileged world of Beemers and babes. And we’ll be watching.
STUFF:The O.C. has become such a gigantic cultural phenomenon. Were you nervous about jumping into the cast? AUTUMN: It happened so quickly. I went in to audition, and then two days later I was on the set. I really didn’t have much time to think about it. It’s happened before where all of a sudden I’m on a set with, like, Shelley Long or Mel Gibson. It’s trippy, but it’s also just another day of work.
Shelley Long and Mel Gibson? That does sound trippy. You know, Mel Gibson is a very underestimated comedian. What’s happened to him is sad.
