Dominique Swain

Alpha Dog is the coolest flick of the year, and lucky us, it stars one of the hottest actresses in Hollywood: Dominique Swain. Dominique plays Susan Hartunian, a strong-willed rich girl who likes to party with some seriously fucked-up friends, including a drug dealer named Johnny Truelove who kidnaps the little brother of a dude who owes him cash. As the young kidnappee takes to his captor’s life of boozing, drugging and partying, the line between the good guys and bad guys quickly blurs. Controversy, thy name is Alpha Dog.

It comes as no shock that Dominique would star in a flick that is sure to upset more than a few folks. From taking on the racy role of Lolita when she was 15 years old to posing nude in antifur PETA ads, she has never shied away from projects that get conservative panties in a knot. Listen in as she talks about everything from nude karaoke to pulling a fast one on Moby.

STUFF: Alpha Dog tells a pretty messed-up story.
DOMINIQUE: Yeah, it’s based on the true story of Jesse James Hollywood, who was the youngest person ever on the FBI’s Most Wanted list. He allegedly was a small-time criminal in the San Fernando Valley. Police claim he kidnapped somebody for ransom, but when he found out it was a felony, he decided to take drastic measures.

Does your character get her hands dirty?
She’s the only person with morals in the whole film, and that’s what drew me to her. The most interesting thing about the movie for me is that the audience is going to fall in love with these characters for an hour and 20 minutes, but then they do something completely deplorable.
