When the snow falls and the sidewalks freeze, most sneakers cower behind their fleece-lined cousins. Most. Brands from Nike to Adidas have been making a push to produce more winter-worthy models, creating a new market segment and a lot of kicks worth coveting. This new breed of not-quite boots can be described in the same terms as summer's best bets - sporty, sleek, youthful - but doesn't go soggy or turn brown when exposed to exhaust colored snowbanks. There's no longer any reason to call off your sneaker game on account of weather.
