Why we like it: The other day we were drinking ice-cold beer at Coney Island at 9 a.m., and we have these kicks to thank! See, last Saturday was the Brooklyn Half-Marathon, and the airy, lightweight Ecco Bioms, with their slightly raised heel (to promote a natural heel-toe transition), snug middle fit, and flexible forefoot, kept our dogs comfortable all 13.1 miles until we somehow crossed the boardwalk finish line. Whereupon we indulged in a celebratory Nathan’s Famous foot-long and a very tall draft beer. Then we went home and passed out for three hours.
