Drones Finally Get the P.T. Barnum Treatement

The Cirque du Soleil performer of the future has rotors.

It’s not Tron on Ice, but it’s damn close: The first drone circus, described as a celebration of aerial maneuvers, lasers, and 3D effects will kick off this fall at the Amsterdam Arena in, well, Amsterdam. The show is not specifically aimed at stoners, but definitely isn’t not aimed at the marijuana-impaired. The quadcopter-heavy performance will hopefully become a Cirque du Soleil for thumb jockeys. Consider this the only good reason for a grown man to go to a circus.
