If Delmon Young loses eight pounds, he will make $600,000 more on his contract.

No, this isn’t the plot of some crazy new reality-TV series, not unlike The Biggest Loser. This is part of an actual MLB contract that serves as added motivation for one of the league’s more chubby sluggers.
