Like father, like son.
During Sunday’s Heat-Bulls game, Lisa Salters found tennis legend Yannick Noah in the crowd for an interview. Unfortunately, she caught him right in the middle of a sequence in which his son, Joakim, successfully defended LeBron James, helped secure the offensive and defensive rebound, went end-to-end, and finished the play by drawing a foul at the net. Understandably, Yannick had a tough time keeping his fandom in check and the interview devolved into Dad giving his young’un a standing ovation.
But that’s not all Yannick had to offer – check him out here with an extremely emphatic Mutumbo-esque finger wag.
The Bulls needed one OT, but came out on top. Noah continued his run of monster play and finished with 20 points and 12 boards (three assists short of his third triple-double in five games). After the game, he had this to say about his dad: “I know that he’s nervous during games and I always tell him, ‘Just drink a brewski. Just chill.’” Doesn’t seem likely, Joakim.
Now the only question is, was Melo also cheering?
