Tina Fey's exodus from SNL may have left a gaping wound in NBC's late-night weekend lineup, but with 30 Rock (maybe you can figure out what this title means) she has all but stitched up a tough prime-time slot assisted by an eccentric Tracy Morgan and the lethally funny Alec Baldwin. Liz Lemon, the fastidious head writer of The Girlie Show, gets tossed into the fire when new boss Baldwin forces her to hire wildcard Tracy Jordan (Morgan). Fey's distinct humor makes her a rare comedienne with guy appeal and also plays to the strengths of the full cast. Rock grips a sundry of funnystyles ranging from cutesy to crasswhich some may consider as casting the net too far when it's merely an attempt to attract all that enjoy a laugh. Sorry Republicans.
