Dr. Temperance 'Bones' Brennan returns for Season 2 hoping for more gruesome murder cases to solve, and it couldn't hurt to dig around in John Mark Karr's backyard. Throaty voiced Emily Deschanel's 'Bones' makes the scientific method her bitch when pairing off with pointy-chinned David Boreanaz, a snide FBI agent who can work hair gel like a master. Deschanel thrives as the socially inept forensic anthropologist who's every awkward foible emits an uncomfortably genuine response that will leave viewers torn between wishing she would stumble more and quickly getting her back into her nerdy element. The crime solving makes up the skeleton of Bones, but it's those shared painful moments that are the ligaments making it watch-worthy.
