This long weekend, Christopher Titus invites you to take a break from your own dysfunctional family to laugh at his. Unfortunately, we've buried relatives livelier than this stand-up who dishes out jokes as dry as uncooked stuffing. Instead of updating a one-man show that wasn't good enough to last as a Fox sitcom, Titus merely regurgitates tired material about his schizophrenic mom, alcoholic father, and own pot-smoking youth. The heaping helpings of warmed-over jokes that seldom worked in the sitcom are now too stale to be funny, while the few other departures from his old material aren't enough to spice up the rest of the show. The only thing less appetizing than Titus' stand-up this Thanksgiving weekend would be an unannounced visit from Margaret Cho.
