The second season begins for the unlikely Sci-Fi Channel hit CrossingOvernot that John Edward is suprised. Hes psychic, right? Were sure he saw this coming. With two popular books, a mainstream following, and an everyman charm, Edward has made a killing on the afterlife.
For all the talk about helping people, Crossing Over only pauses occasionally for audience-member stories. Edward spends the show speeding like an auctioneer through vague details, stopping only briefly to throw out sage New Age mantras. Its a good act, but its not a new one. Frankly, the only person were convinced hes channeling is Oprah Winfrey.
