This midseason replacement, which premieres in the golden time slot between NBC “Must See” staples Friends and Frasier, is as estrogen-drenched as Lifetime’s entire lineup. Commish star Michael Chiklis plays a “regular guy” restaurant supply salesman who chucks his job so wifey (Anita Barone) can go lawyering. The usual role-reversal humor, often at the expense of a newly neutered hubby, ensues. And before the episode’s over—surprise, surprise—Daddio learns to honor his nurturing side a little more and admit that, gosh, homemaking really is a tough job. Perhaps the most dangerous half-hour of television since Tammy Faye Bakker started singing.
