Day Break

Detective Brett Hopper is reliving the same disastrous day over and over again. This is what would have happened if Jerry Bruckheimer got his hands on Groundhog Day. The unlucky Dick, played by Taye Diggs, starts each continuous morning lying next to gorgeous Moon Bloodgood, only to be accused of a murder he couldn't have committed. Hopper must unravel the deception to save the lives of his girl, his family, and most importantly to stop this day from recurring. Break masterfully weaves unrelenting conspiracy into a throng of craved uncertainty sure to keep message boards giddy with theory. A solid cast of stone-faces guards plot twists like they were diary entries. And Diggs fits as a tough guy in trouble, perhaps by utilizing his how-to-get-out-of-this-mess actor's wisdom his Rent credentials blessed him with.
