Deal or No Deal

Years of cramming a latex glove over his head has definitely left Howie Mandel balder than R. Kelly's last girlfriend, which doesn't bode well for the comedian's new gig. The neon lights from the set of his new primetime game show, Deal or No Deal, reflect off his shiny dome to make it almost impossible for the contestants to look directly at the host, let alone compete for the $1 million jackpot at stake. The premise is simple: Choose one of 26 briefcases filled with various amounts of cash, ranging from one penny to one million Howie-bucks. The contestant walks away with the amount contained in the case they choose—unless, that is, they decide to accept a deal offered by a banker that could either be more or less than what's in the luggage. Greed drives the contestants past reasonable desires, some scoff at walking away with a paltry $130,000 in search of that top prize, while sloth (and a Prison Break hiatus) should shackle you into thinking two things: 1) you've got the secret to finding the million dollar case; and 2) was Howie Mandel really once a comedian?
