Sunday, SUNDAY, SUNDAY! Yep, tonight is another new episode of the male version of Desperate Housewives, minus the passive aggression. What Happened Last Week
We saw the Queens kids break up their journeys a bit.
Vinnie Chase and Eric Murphy get a call from a familiar friend, Dom, who wanted the guys to spring him from jail once again. Eric is skeptical (Dom isn't exactly one to walk the straight and narrow), but plunks down the dough–we wish we had $100,000 laying around too–for bail. Turns out Dom has been a model citizen as of late, even shacking up with a girl and having a baby. But when he tells his wife of his latest prison stint, she leaves him and Dom is, once again, a broken man.
Johnny, on the advice of Vinnie, employed Turtle, who was desperate for money, as his own personal assistant. After a day of running around and doing things like hand pick raisins from Raisin Bran and put them in Corn Flakes, Turtle quits by flipping off Johnny on the set of his show, Five Towns, and leaves him there to walk home.
Ari, looking to get Vinnie into the surprise blockbuster-in-the-making, Smoke Jumpers, set up a golf outing with the much maligned head of Warner Bros. Studios, Alan Gray. After Ari gets hustled by his seething foe and his "personal golf coach" Phil Mickelson, Gray goes Ric Flair on Ari and drops dead on the green from a heart attack.
What To Expect Tonight
Ari is confronted by Warner Bros. and offered the now deceased Alan Gray's job. On the one hand, he can take the job and put Vinnie in the movie right away. On the other hand, he'd have to give up representing the actor who he helped make a name for. What will Ari choose? My hunch is he'll pass on the offer and find another way to get his client into Smoke Jumpers–whoever does take the position at WB will be Vinnie-friendly, maybe?
Vinnie is back on the road to regaining his name in Hollywood following the Medellin disaster, this week palling around with the runway girls at a Dolce & Gabbana fashion show. After schmoozing with the show's requisite eye candy, Vinnie is introduced to Natasha, who appears to already have ridden the Chase train. After Vinnie agrees to make an appearance at the show, Natasha suddenly quits. This subplot seems like a one-off, one that'll give the crew something to do while Ari makes his pivotal decision. Expect Vinnie to forget about Natasha at the end of the show. Or, if the show's writers are taking a page from the first two seasons, could we could be looking at V's love interest in Smoke Jumpers?
Check out the next episode of Entourage, tonight on HBO at 10 P.M. EST.
