Grey's Anatomy

Unless we're talking about grandma's joint surgery, "hip" and "sexy" aren't words typically associated with the hospital. Luckily, Grey's Anatomy makes playing doctor fun again. Led by Meredith Grey (Old School's Ellen Pompeo), the show follows a group of first-year surgical interns as they learn how to deal with the usual moral dilemmas, long hours, and questionable cafeteria food. But instead of merely throwing around incomprehensible medical jargon in an effort to unseat ER, Anatomy builds strong characters out of Grey and her fellow trainees—including Roswell's curvy Katherine Heigl and Sideways' fiesty Sandra Oh. Over 48-hour shifts, and amid competing egos and insecurities, the interns battle and backstab each other for the chance to impress the doctors and win a chance at surgery with the big boys. Although Grey's Anatomy teeters on the brink of Sex and the ICU territory, it's still a hospital that'd we'd gladly check into.
