So you find yourself tied to a table with a live scorpion duct taped in your mouth. Or locked inside a box on top of a shaking washing machine with your body covered by 200,000 pissed off bees. Hey, we've all been there, wondering, "OK, how do I get myself out of this pickle?" That's a couple of the scenarios that the new Discovery Channel show, One Way Out, tries to answer each Monday at 9 PM EST.

Why? The hell if we know, but we keep watching it. Each show features “escapologist” Jonathan Goodwin trying to free himself from such precarious situations, with the aid of of his everyman sidekick Mikey Nelson. Check out this clip where Mikey decides it would be funny (and we agree) to arbitrarily smack his escapologist buddy who has a mouthful of scorpion.



In tonight’s episode Goodwin gets pummeled with tennis balls flying at 45 mph, high-dives into kiddie pools and is launched over 65 feet in the air…all while trying to escape. And for what reason? Again, not a clue, but we love watching it.
