Television is one of our most important resources (except for music, the internet, books, magazines, ads, and more), so why not pay more attention to it? Our forefathers did, and they have the happy memories of
Newhart to prove it.
If you are musically inclined, this week is a good week to plop yourself in front of your television and soak in the perfs. The big news is
U2's five night residency on Letterman, but the return of Neko Case and a world premiere from
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah are also un-shabby. After Clap perform "Statues", a brand new, and still un-professionally-recorded song, head over to
their site to download a demo. If their performance of the song at a recent Brooklyn Academy Of Music show is any indication, tonight's version could be a monster.

Embedding of Monday's U2 performance of "Breathe" was disabled by evil people, but click
here to watch. Unsurprisingly, U2 make the Ed Sullivan Theatre feel like the San Siro, or Red Rocks, or some similarly enormous, U2-ready space. In a good way.
