After a rush of indie artists booked, presumably, to establish some cred amongst the blog-reading demo, Jimmy Fallon settles into a guest schedule that looks more like America, pal. Check it out: the All-American Rejects, who recently told Blender that they don't care what the critics think, and John Rich, the country dude who is presumably more Leno more Fallon.
Over at the Ed Sullivan Theatre, newly-hitched Dave Letterman welcomes U2 back because five shows a couple of weeks ago was not enough. Maybe they'll play some deep track like Running To Stand Still or Surrender. But I'll bet you a million dollars they won't. As long as it's not Vertigo, it's cool.
Jay Leno actually has the most intriguing lineup of the week - a PJ Harvey appearance would be good enough on its own, but, dude, three Prince perfs? Pretty awesome, especially considering that the songs that Prince has streamed on
his site are pretty fantastic.
Finally, Carson Daly has the ever-controversial Chris Cornell, who's riding a Timbaland-produced album that Trent Reznor cannot f*cking stand.
