Where We Left Off
Special Agent Olivia Dunham (Anna Torv) was called to the aid of a feral child after he was discovered by a construction worker in an abandoned and soon-to-be detonated building. The child, exhibiting the ability to react to Dunham's emotions, helps lead the FBI agent to the arrest of "The Artist," a serial killer who murders women and publicly showcases his work by turning their corpses into '50s-style glamour girls. With the CIA demanding the special boy be turned over for testing, Dunham arranges for a foster family to secretly take the child, and we were left hanging as the boy arrived at his new home only to peer over his shoulder at the creepy Observer watching nearby.

PREVIEW: "UNLEASHED"
As animal rights activists ransack a laboratory, they get more than they bargained for when one of the caged "animals" unleashes a ferocious appetite. Leaving grotesquely mutilated dead bodies in its wake, the scientific engineered beast—with the body of a lion, claws of an eagle, fangs of a viper, skin of a rhinoceros and tail of a serpent—attacks Charlie Francis, Olivia's colleague in the FBI's Fringe Division. With Charlie’s life on the line, former government researcher Walter Bishop must come face-to-face with both his past and the beast.

We Want Answers, Dammit!
Two-thirds of the way through the first season and Agent Dunham has finally rid herself of her former partner and lover John Scott's memories from her own brain, but there are still a ton of questions still floating around. What was Walter's involvement in the cryptic ZFT (Zerstörung durch Fortschritte der Technologie, "Destruction by Continuing Advancement of Technology") organization—which Episode 14 indicated may have been more than just janitorial duties? What was the nature of super corporation Massive Dynamic's experimentation of a strange chemical that Agent Dunham was injected with as a child? Who is the Observer and why is he keeping tabs on the boy who helped the FBI track down a murderer?
