Hey guys!

We made it through another week. I was a little upset with myself because I made a few mistakes. I don’t think it was too obvious to the audience, but I was just upset because we work so hard during rehearsals and then when you get to the live show anything can happen. Your adrenaline is rushing, your nerves set in, sometimes your body does the total opposite of what you wanted it to do. But I was relieved that the judges enjoyed the performance and gave us good scores. I have to work on my foot strength and not letting my nerves get the best of me.

Speaking of foot strength, Tom Delay had to drop out, poor guy.  He was a trouper. He definitely did not want to leave—he really enjoyed doing the show. He did the dance with two fractured feet! I must give it to him. He was definitely a surprise in that the voters kept him in and he bowed out on his own. He really left as a winner.

Debi Mazar was voted out. We were in the trailer getting our makeup done before the show, and she said, “Oh, I have my Jimmy Kimmel dress with me.” You do a live Kimmel appearance the night you get voted off, so she was prepared for the worst. It’s funny, because I brought my Kimmel dress in the first week and just left it in my trailer. That way it’ll be there in case I forget it.

Chelsie and Louie…everyone is asking if they are together. They’re kind of laughing it off and denying it. I wouldn’t be surprised. They make an adorable couple and should be dating! But you never know. Maybe he’s more into her than she is into him or vice versa. Who knows? Even backstage they are very cozy together. Maybe they just don’t want to talk about it. They definitely have a special bond, that’s for sure.

The women celebrities are getting a lot of attention this year. And I hope that we keep kicking butt. It is a lot harder for the women on the show. We have to do so much more in the dances, more turns, more kicks—we really have to shine. And I am really proud that the women have been at the top of the scores. It’s just much harder work for the women celebs—not saying that I think there should be male and female divisions!

So far, everyone is still being really supportive -- no one is trying to mess with each other. Actually, Derek and I were rehearsing in Natalie and Alec’s studio when they were taking a break, and I guess one of Derek’s bracelets broke and one of the balls from his bracelet was on the floor. Natalie and Alec found it when they came back, and so we were like, “We were trying to sabotage you!” So nothing intentional…yet.

I was so glad to have Len back this week. I think he puts a great balance into the show, and he’s such a pro. I really like the way he judges. He’s tough and he makes you worry, but so far he’s enjoyed our dances. So of course I’ll be a big fan of his!

A lot of people have been talking about my hair this season. For the jive dance, yes, it was a little overboard. I had that one piece that looked like an animal died in my hair. I think it went well with the rock’n’roll vibe, so it was fun. It was nothing I would ever wear out to a party or something, but it was fun.

So next week we’re doing the lambada, the forbidden dance. That will be quite interesting. We’ve been doing these sexy Latin dances, and I think this will be the extreme of it all. I have my first rehearsal tonight. I’m actually a little worried because Derrick has never danced the lambada before. He had a class yesterday. We’ll see what he comes up with!

Okay, I’m off. I hope you’re all enjoying the show, and if you are, please vote!
