Jonny Zero

Jonny Calvo (Franky G) is the nicest tough guy in New York City. After spending four years in the joint, he discovers that using his underworld connections and Sammy Sosa–like charm for good can be almost as lucrative as a life of crime. Armed only with an irritating sidekick—played by an actor irritatingly credited simply as GQ—a cherry-red Chevelle, and his huge muscles, Jonny takes money from distraught parents who will do anything to keep their kids off the streets. Cheesy dialogue and a theme song better suited for The Cosby Show prevent Jonny Zero from feeling like a real (read: NBC) "cop show," but the slick production and likeable characters prove that drama doesn't have to be so damn serious all the time.
