Champions of Al Gores Presidential recount cause could learn a thing or two from La Femme Nikita fans. Thanks to a massive write-in campaign, USA Network has coughed up eight more episodes of the previously cancelled espionage hour.
Whats so extraordinary about this series? Sure, all the appropriate thriller elements are in place: James Bond missions, mysterious motives, secret relationships, and betrayals galore. But the secret of this secret agent shows appeal is obviously Peta Wilson. The show wouldnt have gotten past the pilot without her intensity and other, um, obvious assets.
Scenes without her seem painfully long, with lines ripped off from a PlayStation game. Nikitas spymasters specialize in brilliant plans like, Sneak in and blow him/her/it up. Not really brain surgery. Only Wilson lifts the show from clichéd silliness to guilty pleasure. Luckily, shes in almost every scene.
