Regis Philbin has his monochrome shirt-and-tie combos. And Richard Hatch, well, doesn’t. The Survivor star has parlayed his penchant for public nudity into a showbiz signature, appearing undraped on a recent David Letterman show.

On September 7, the chilly millionaire takes his act to New York’s Radio City Music Hall, where he’ll be a presenter at the MTV Video Music Awards. A network source wouldn’t say whether Hatch had packed his pants or not, but promised that “it’s just one of the surprises we have planned this year.”

Hatch will be joined at this year’s VMAs by the Red-Hot Chili Peppers—a band known to perform naked except for strategically placed socks—and rapper Eminem, who recently settled out of court with his estranged wife for an undisclosed sum and granted her physical custody of their child.

Hatch is also experiencing kid-related legal entanglements when Rhode Island prosecutors dropped second-degree child abuse charges that stemmed from an incident in which he allegedly placed his hands around his nine-year-old son’s neck. Hatch subsequently filed a $1 million lawsuit against state and local authorities for wrongful arrest.
