Now and Again

Michael Wiseman is a middle-aged schlub with aching arches and an ever-expanding waist. Iced in a freak subway accident, the lucky pup gets a new lease on life thanks to some secret government scientists who transplant his brain into a genetically engineered super-body. Now a government operative, Wiseman is impervious to everything—except government funding cutbacks. In this week’s episode, the Über-dude must demonstrate his amazing abilities for some Congressional bean counters or face termination. John Goodman, who played the old, fat Wiseman in the series premiere, returns in a series of flashbacks. Dark Skies alien-hunter Eric Close stars as the retooled secret agent man, with Welcome to the Dollhouse’s Heather Matarazzo as his understandably freaked-out kid.
