Red Water

You probably didn’t know freshwater sharks existed. But TBS did, and they can’t wait to show you in this made-for-TV event! Lou Diamond Phillips and Kristy Swanson play a divorced couple who find themselves working together as they search for a natural gas source in a Louisiana river. An already riveting premise receives added bite when their boat is hijacked by a pair of criminals, one of whom is Coolio, searching for stolen money dropped in the same river. There also happens to be an enormous bull shark swimming around, ready to strike the moment it sees any of its trademark prey: bikini-clad swimmers, minorities, etc. Remember Anaconda? Replace Ice Cube with Coolio, the gigantic snake with a gigantic bull shark, add commercials, and you have Red Water. And a reason to take up reading.
