Reno 911!

Summoning help from the bumbling police squad in Reno is like playing against the Knicks—sure, they'll show up, but they'll miss most of their shots. That silliness, with its impromptu method acting, is what makes 911!—now entering its fourth season—so durable on a channel with little patience for shows that are not instant hits. Outfitted with some former cast members of the grieved-for comedy troupe The State, the fuzz force is afforded some plum cameos. This season has appearances by Pee-Wee Herman and Carrot Top, who must be glad there are more absurd caricatures sharing screen time—only the cops quit their bizarre behavior once the cameras stop rolling.
