Excuses for not attending your high school reunion are usually tenuous at best, but "murder victim" takes the taco. Almost 20 years after the sextet at the center of Reunion depart for greener pastures, one of their numbers comes down with a serious case of the deads. To uncover the mystery, the show kicks off in 1986—with each episode serving as a year in the lives of the high school friends—and climaxes with the eventual slaying in 2005. The cast is predictably comprised of young Tom Cruise clones shipped straight from Scientology HQ and a duo of potential Girlfriends of the Day—the vampy Amanda Righetti (The OC) and the homely-yet-hot Chyler Leigh (Not Another Teen Movie). For your convenience, a retro soundtrack accompanies each "year" to serve as a reminder that the episodes are totally '80s! Luckily, Fox makes much-needed improvements to the stale teen-angst-twaddle formula with the addition of suspense, leaving not only the killer but even the victim a mystery. Now the La-Z-Boy Encyclopedia Brown has a reason to keep watching every week—as well as a chance to piece together evidence in time to solve the whodunit before Ain't It Cool News spoils it a week before the finale.
