The sitcom laugh track must be stopped. Although Men, Women, and Dogs is more tolerable than we expected, the rollicking laughter of the imaginary audience is painful. Rather than point out when youve missed a hilarious joke, the laughter only magnifies every half-baked gag that falls flat. And believe us, there are a few.
The show follows the dating adventures of four dog park friends: the heart-broken monogamist, the cheap womanizer, the dumb surfer with a live-in girlfriend, and the chef/player (played by Bill Bellamy). But, as lame as it sounds, it actually has some funny moments and the appealing faces of a handful of pooches to offer. But, dont get too attached. We predict that the WB will dump it faster than a Christmas puppy with a weak bladder.
