Onetime actor Bill Pullman joins anchorman Hugh Downs in Egypts Bahariya Oasis this Tuesday as Fox excavates the Valley of the Golden Mummies. In an extensiveand expensivecooperative agreement between the network and the Egyptian government, archaeologist Dr. Zahi Hawass will unseal tombs believed to contain more than 10,000 mummies from the Greco-Roman Dynasty. More than 100 mummies have been recovered from the site so far, many with their heads and chests covered in gold.
Archaeology is like a chicken, Dr. Hawass said from his office in Cairo. Huh? A chicken that can bring you a golden egg every day if you understand it very well. Hawass most recent discovery was the ancient statue of a dwarf who, according to an inscription, pleased the king every day.
You know Geraldo Rivera is praying for this thing to bomb.
