To tell you the truth, this show about a young couple struggling with parenthood really isnt our cup o tea. But, its addition to the late night lineup was a good excuse to plug Cartoon Networks Adult Swim programming block, so we just had to bite. Airing on Sunday and Thursday nights from 10 P.M. to 1 A.M., Adult Swim features old favorite Space Ghost Coast to Coast alongside several newcomers like the squigglevision show Home Movies and Aqua Teen Hunger Force, a trippy toon about people-sized food products that work as detectives. It also gives familiar characters some extra work whether theyre being defended by Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law, or visiting Brak and Zorak at Learnmore High on The Brak Show.
Overall, it is one fine block of cartoon goodnessexcept for Baby Blues, that is. The family-appropriate show hardly fits with the kooky adult nature of the other cartoons; wedged between some Saturday morning kiddie fare, Baby Blues might fit right in, but amongst talking French fries and gay superheroes, it just doesnt work.
