In First Shot, TBS revisits one of its finest secret-service agents. Mariel Hemingway is work first, play later agent Alex McGregor, the focus of the networks 1999 movie First Daughter. But this time, its personal (it had to be said). Instead of simply defending the president, McGregor here confronts an American rebel group that has kidnapped her husband and is stalking her as their next target. This terribly cheesy drama has it all: a travel-happy president who cant get enough of visiting terrorist-attack sites (providing action around every turn!); goofy coworkers who finally get down to business once the stakes are raised; a first daughter who doesnt approve of the woman her widowed father dates; blah, blah, blah. Clichés plague this drama till the end, which honestly doesnt come soon enough.
