The problems are back on the new season of Boston Public—and then some. While most shows lack enough action in their allotted hour, BP is guilty of the opposite: trying to cram too many story lines into one show. Premature births, underage prostitutes, student walkouts…you name it, they’ve got it—all in one episode! Not to mention young, hip teachers, two more of whom are added this season—Joey McIntyre being the most notable rookie. Like Homicide and Law & Order before it, Boston Public needlessly shoves increasingly attractive characters into each new season. Get your old school rivalries while you can—former New Kids hitting the block are never a good sign.
