It’s time for NBC to crank out another hit sitcom, and it’s going to that zany place everyone can relate to: the U.S. Attorney’s office. Adam Sullivan (Scott Foley) wants to change the world at his fresh new job as assistant U.S.A. but feels stifled by his start at the bottom. How terribly unfair! What’s worse, the public defender he has to go up against on a regular basis is his crush from law school (Amanda Detmer, The Majestic). How terribly embarrassing! Every other piece of dialogue is a punch line, so a few laughs slip through the cracks. But too much of Sullivan muttering, “I graduated at the top of my class…” after lousy case assignments, and not enough of the delicious Detmer, make for quickly forgettable TV.
