Hide the mistletoe (nothing ruins a holiday quicker than hepatitis C) and break out the eggnog party ball; Santa Rock is coming to town. In the spirit of pimping, Kid Rock invites you to forsake your own family this holiday season to join his extended VH1 kin—awkward guest appearances include Hank Williams Jr., Drea DeMatteo, and LeAnn Rimes—for a festive meal with festival music. Concert footage of Rock’s classic catalog (the songs in which he tells you his name) is peppered with shots of him dicing squash with Mom, deep frying turkeys with Williams, and crooning acoustic collaborations with Rimes. Mr. Rock further flexes his musical chops by putting his stamp on “Twelve Days of Christmas,” adding classy flourishes like gold teeth and stripper dwarfs. And what Christmas would be complete without Carmen Electra leading the Pussycat Dolls through corseted caroling (ages 13 and up)? You don’t have to admire Rock’s music to admire his holiday spirit; just make sure you keep the plastic on the furniture.
