Princes of Malibu

In the interest of equal time, Fox’s Princes of Malibu apes Paris and Nicole’s riches-to-rags shtick, only with a new twist: it’s watchable. Brandon and Brody Jenner (sons of Olympic gold medalist Bruce Jenner) have spent most of their lives mooching off their wealthy stepfather, 14-time Grammy Award winner David Foster. And who can blame them? When they’re not running up tabs at expensive restaurants, throwing Mardi Gras–themed backyard parties for over 100 of their closest friends, or touring Foster’s 22-acre Malibu estate via hovercraft, well, they’re sleeping. That is, until Foster tells the boys it’s time to face the music and get real jobs. And in true “unscripted-TV” fashion, there’s a horde of cameras around to catch the hilarious fallout. Instead of working 9 to 5, the boys scheme creative ways to hustle around the house and use what they have—or better yet, what their stepdad has—to make money, which includes staging a bikini car wash in their driveway, pitching a drive-in movie theater on their lawn, and putting a Grammy up for auction on eBay. The situations are as impromptu as a presidential Q&A, but Foster’s reactions are stinking rich.
