The sci-fi space odyssey with a bigger cult following than William Shatner's wig returns for another season—and just like its robotic predators, there's no stopping it. After a three-month hiatus, Galactica picks up at last season's cliffhanger: Captain Adama (Edward James Olmos) has been shot by Cylon infiltrator Boomer (Grace Park), President Rosalin (Mary McDonnell) is behind bars, Starbuck (Katee Sackhoff) is off to recover the key to finding Earth, and everyone's still on the run from human-hunting machines. But now that the fleet's fate rests in the unsteady hands of recovering alcoholic Colonel Tigh (Michael Hogan), humanity's future has never looked so bleak—and the show has never looked better. Expect more exploration of the Cylon's plot to impregnate themselves with human-robot hybrids, a military uprising that could mean martial law, and, best of all, a guest spot by Lucy Lawless. With ample story arcs layered with political, scientific, and religious commentary, you'd have to be a murderous automaton not to enjoy Galactica. This is truly the hottest show on television, and we're not just saying that because of the countless copies of Grace Park and Tricia Helfer roaming the universe. (Though that certainly doesn't hurt.)
