And so begins Fox's search for the next great alternative sitcom that Janeane Garofalo would shine up her Dr. Martens for. After college, Nate heads back to his small hometown to contemplate his future amidst the wack jobs he tried to leave behind—and the adorable bank teller who could keep him around. Like a road trip with Grandpa George, Ride is humorlessly bumpy and easy to nap through, proving there is still no such thing as a free ride.
