The Unit moniker has a big cup to fill, and with David Mamet at the helm of a respectable cast, CBS should have found a Dirk Digglersized hit. Sadly, the special forces team droops like stuffed socks with the show's mixture of resolute husbands fighting terror and patriotic wives tending to the house front like 1950s homemakers. Scott Foley plays the new recruit for a crack squad that barely has enough cohesive chemistry to save hostages, let alone another fledgling government drama.
