Traveler

The first few minutes of new television should give you reason to stay transfixed to your tube. Traveler does just the opposite, leading viewers onto the eye-rolling kiddie ride that suddenly becomes Space Mountain. It begins as male-bonding boredom, Will Traveler and college roomies Jay and Tyler plan to spend the months following graduation on a cross-country trek. When an explosion rocks a Manhattan museum, Will inexplicably vanishes and Jay and Tyler are terrorist suspects. Like they were ripped from the headlines of Prison Break's second season, the two are left fleeing from the FBI while trying to uncover a conspiracy involving their missing drinking buddy. Subterfuge propels episodes forward, adding mysteries by the moment that may prove that the start is not nearly as important as the end.
