Like most made-for-TV biopics, the only reason to watch See Arnold Run is to enjoy the horrific wig atop the title character's head. But before you can start feeling good about your comb-over, the bad accents and even worse dialogue quickly turn See Arnold Run into the worst Arnie movie since Jingle All the Way. For the most part, Run is a lightweight docu-drama that fancies itself more of a civics lesson on how to achieve an unlikely American dream, rather than a grope-and-tell through one of the most absurd forays into American politics since Ross Perot. It further disappoints by downplaying Arnold Schwarzenegger's scandal-plagued run for officeonly gently, ahem, touching on the harassment allegationswhile pumping up the idea that sheer determination and Maria Kennedy! Shriver (Mariel Hemingway) can land you success in bodybuilding, Hollywood, and politics. Run's only saving grace is Roland Kickinger's dead-on performance as the young Ahnuldgiving us hope that action movies won't be left in the incapable hands of Vin Diesel while the Governator is in office.
