When Sex and the City was the new show on the block, we could understand why women were intrigued by the pack of single women bitching and swilling cosmos. And for men there was the occasional set of funbags to ogle. But as the show enters its fourth season, the “aging broads looking for love” scenario has gotten really sad.

When no one shows up for Carrie’s 35th birthday, she realizes just how alone she is and—dur—longs for a man to make her whole. But by the time the foursome pledged to become each other’s soul mates, we had to excuse ourselves to make a bean-and-bile collage in the other room, so we’re not sure how it ended. We’re sure, however, that there was some bullshit about not needing men (even though every Sex and the City episode ever made is about pursuing men).

As always, stay away from this show, but this season, you might want to keep your girlfriend away, as well; when she sees how depressing single-life has gotten for her TV gal pals, she’ll probably tighten your leash even more.
