Stankervision

MTV2 wants to taint your living room with Stankervision; luckily, this extreme comedy sketch show keeps things fresher than most of the dreck drawing laughs these days. (Take a shower already, Horatio Sans!) Formerly known as the underground comedy troupe The Damn Show, these fellas from Athens, Georgia perform a variety of low-budget sketches, pranks, man-on-the-street interviews, and animated bits that look and feel like something hatched in a college dorm room. Characters like Jean-Claude the Mime With Tourettes, Regina Lynn (a snaggle-toothed pregnant redneck—as if there's any other kind), and Yucko the Clown of Howard Stern fame regularly assault passers by. Accompanying the pedestrian attacks are sketches, like an intervention by sock puppets tired of being used as love rags and an Inebriated the Koala cartoon that will test the limits of inappropriate humor. Big networks take note: Comedy doesn't need a bloated budget to be funny.
