It's miraculous that The Shield has yet to decline after six season. It continues to be the best show on TV because it constantly strives to crank out complex characters and addictive story lines. When we last saw our beloved Strike Team we were left with the heartbreaking hand grenade murder of Lemonhead, blown up by his own friend and Strike Team member Shane. Team leader Vic Mackey, who's still as relentless and pissed off as ever, takes it to a whole different level. The show picks up right where it left off with Mackey vowing to kill whoever did it…and he soon proves he's not talking shit. After watching the first six episodes of the new season we're happy to report that the show doesn't waste time confronting the important story lines; some are resolved quickly and others lead to even more gut-wrenching problems. Unlike Lost or 24, The Shield is known for resolving major plot points without fear of the show falling apart or losing its fan base. After six years of pure perfection they've earned our confidence and respect, so we're just happy to sit back and enjoy the beatings.
