When a fearsome foursome that includes the stars of some of TV’s cheesier products (Dan Cortese of MTV Sports and Beverly Hills 90210’s Luke Perry) vacation in the Caribbean, chaos, of course, ensues. The story revolves around a Bermuda Triangle fishing trip in a boat run by Captain Morgan (very funny) and his first mate, played by the lovely Olivia d’Abo.

But though The Triangle throws out some interesting ideas, the Baywatch-calibre camera work and torturous soundtrack make it hard to watch. Also, it hardly seems fair that when Luke Perry’s character becomes possessed by the evil spirit of an abandoned ocean liner and starts picking off his cohorts, he hunts down the least famous people first—isn’t playing fourth fiddle to Dan Cortese punishment enough?

The Triangle is definitely tolerable; just don’t expect to find logic in this story. The movie, much like the Bermuda Triangle itself, is unexplainable.
